True repentance leads to godliness

When somebody accepted the Lord Jesus with an earnest heart, will this always result in a changed lifestyle. God loves us so much that He gave His only Son for us that while we were yet sinners He died for our sins on the Cross of Calvary (John 3:16). Even the more He does not want us to remain in our sin but to start living a life holy and acceptable to Him. It is not that by our right living we are saved but our right living becomes the result of our repentance (Matthew 3:8). Somebody who has truly repented from his or her sin does not want or does not feel comfortable to continue in the lifestyle he or she practiced. The beautiful part of it is, that God Himself through the Holy Spirit helps us to live as the new created man or woman we have become by accepting Jesus as our Lord (2 Corinthians 5:17, John 14:26).
