Transience of life

We as humans have a life span on this earth for a limited period of time. When you are very strong you maybe might live up to 90 years of age. In the end however each one of us dies. We as humans however are created for eternity. The plan of God for man is to live forever in relationship with Him. However, man’s sin has interfered and because of this death is inevitable (Hebrews 9:27).

The worst part of this is not physical death but spiritual death. This is eternal separation from God which means going to hell for eternity. Now today many might not believe in the existence of hell, but it surely exists because this is what God explains us in His Word (Revelation 20:15).

This is however not God’s plan for us. He wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven where we will enjoy the fullness of life since there is no more death, sickness etc. Since there is a judgement which no one can escape and all of mankind stands guilty for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

God in His mercy and love for us has given mankind a second chance by offering His Son Jesus Christ to be the One who bore the penalty of our sin (John 3:16). Now it is each person’s choice to face this judgement by him or herself or not. If someone does not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, then the penalty of sin will be upon him or herself. This penalty results in eternal condemnation and suffering in hell. This is not place where any human being is supposed to go and therefore Jesus took this penalty upon Himself (2 Corinthians 15:21). By accepting Jesus, you will be restored back into God’s original plan and purpose for mankind. Do you have eternal life??
