Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior

In the previous blog I shared that it is only when you bow your knees at this side of the grave that you and I can make it to heaven and have eternal life.

That sounds pretty easy won’t you think and indeed it is that simple. However, it entails more then just mouth service. It is not only testifying it with your mouth but also living it out in your daily life. The bible tells us that when you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is nothing that we can do except this to obtain salvation. It is not human effort, but it is the grace of God. Now this is for some a hard truth since many of us want to earn salvation which can’t be done for our salvation is only purchased by the blood Jesus.

True acceptance will lead to a changed lifestyle. When the woman who was caught in adultery came to Jesus did not condemn her for her acts but rather forgave her and told her not to sin anymore. In the Word of God it says that our conversation (way of living) should become as the gospel of Jesus Christ. When you accept Jesus, you come to Him as you are. After you accept Jesus the Holy Spirit will urge and persuade you to become more like Jesus. Your changed lifestyle will be a proof of your faith in Jesus. Will you accept Jesus today?!
